Door Security and Insurance

Hand in hand with high quality of our door installations is the great security they include. Choosing a door that is highly stylish and looks great doesn’t have to be an excuse for skimping on the locking mechanism as many of our clients have found. We’re proud to not only offer some of the best energy savings available for our doors but also the best security ratings.

Increasing your level of security can not only make your home much safer, it can also help to reduce those important insurance premiums.

Steel Doors That Don’t Look Like Steel Doors

All our doors are designed with security in mind. If you want to go that step further and have a steel door installed, you might think it will look unsightly and spoil the design of your house. But our steel doors are created with all the love, care and attention that all our other models are. You won’t actually be able to tell that it’s made from steel – so you’ll have all that added protection from a reinforced door as well as great looking addition to your home.

Electronic Access

The new range of locks on the market nowadays can make any home ultra-secure. Electronic access used to be just for the rich and famous but now most homes can easily afford this innovative technology. You can get key pad or fob entry; you can even get biometric locks that work on your fingerprint. You can also add in intercom and videophone entry to make yourself extra secure. The choice is entirely yours.

Electronic access is not just about security. It’s also about ease of access for the homeowner. If you have difficulty with keys or have mobility problems, you don’t want to be messing with trying to get a key into a lock. Remote or electronic access can make things much easier.

Multipoint Locking

The key to any secure door nowadays is multipoint locking. Where old doors used to just lock around the central key point, today’s models have additional points where the door locks into the frame. When you activate your lock with the door open, you’ll see these jump out at various points around the frame. They can either be on the opening side or, more often nowadays, positioned around the whole frame of the door.

This provides a very strong locking mechanism that most burglars will avoid. That’s why it’s also a favourite with insurance companies and can help reduce your premiums. At Dawes & Green we’re passionate about providing high levels of security but not forgetting the design ethos that many of our clients are looking for. Your home doesn’t have to look like a fortress – it can be elegant and stylish while also being highly secure.

All our designs are tailored to individual needs and taking into consideration your home security is an important part of this. We’ve been providing luxury doors and windows around Essex for many years now, sourcing the best that the UK and Europe has to offer and providing it for our discerning clients. We like to think that we keep our finger on the pulse of the latest technology, delivering doors that are highly secure and of exceptional quality.
