Talking About the Next Generation

No such thing as a job for life? While many workplaces offer little in security or career progression without having to move companies, DG Servicing can boast that this is not the case.

A truly, traditional family run business can now celebrate the recruitment of the 3rd generation joining the close knit team at DG Servicing. Reece joined recently as a Trainee Engineer, and is safe in the knowledge that he will learn from the best in the business. With his grandfather and owner Peter, and Mum, Claire, who has been on board for the last 16 years as the Office Manager, Reece can rest assured that he will always know who’s boss!

DG Servicing was established in 1983 by Peter Guiver. Peter Originally trained as a shop-fiiter and joiner, and in the early 80s saw a gap in the market for repairs and maintenance on existing double-glazing windows and doors. In 1985 he bought DG Servicing’s first premises in Southend-on-Sea, where the business remains to this day; 30 years on as a specialist window and door repair company.

Peter has worked alongside his wife and sons. The Company has grown from strength-to-strength. Establishing itself as one of the most competent and trusted repair businesses, not only in the local area, but within the double glazing industry.

Now part of a successful group of companies within The DG Group, DG Servicing is proud to be that traditional family business and, with a collective age of 117 between Grandfather, Daughter and Grandson, the latest generation is here to carry on the tradition and once where Peter was singing “my” generation, Reece can start to cause a sensation with his generation, hopefully with many more to follow!
